Basic Material Parameters

  1. Material Type: Virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE) raw material, different from ordinary low-pressure PE and recycled materials. It features dense and uniform molecular structure with high compression and bending resistance. Modified reinforced HDPE formula is optional for heavy-duty conditions.
  2. Material Density: 0.94–0.97 g/cm³, lightweight. Its weight is only 1/7 of steel plate and 1/4 of concrete slab, easy to transport and lay, greatly cutting labor and machinery construction costs.
  3. Modified Formula Categories: Standard general grade, UV weather-resistant grade, anti-slip reinforced grade, anti-static explosion-proof grade. Suitable for temporary site paving, muddy swamp sites, long-term open-air operation, chemical explosion-proof construction sites and other working conditions.

Physical Weather Resistance, Anti-Corrosion & Anti-Slip Parameters

  1. Operating Temperature Range: -40℃ to +70℃. Stable performance under high and low temperatures; no brittle cracking in cold winter, no softening or deformation under high-temperature summer exposure.
  2. Water Absorption Rate: <0.01%, nearly non-absorbent. No swelling, delamination or deformation after long-term immersion in rainwater, mud water and swamp water, excellent adaptability to muddy sites.
  3. Anti-Slip Performance: Customizable diamond, pebble and strip anti-slip textures on the surface with high friction coefficient, effectively preventing vehicle skidding and sideslip to guarantee safe passage in rainy and snowy weather.
  4. Corrosion Resistance: Resistant to acid, alkali, salt water, cement slurry, construction oil stains and soil corrosion. Rust-proof, rot-proof and mildew-proof, capable of harsh environments including damp, saline-alkali and swamp sites.
  5. Anti-Aging Performance: UV-modified sheets resist strong outdoor ultraviolet radiation, hardly pulverize, crack or fade under long-term open-air use, with far better weather resistance than ordinary plastic and wood mats.
  6. Insulation Performance: Good overall insulation with no conductive risks, applicable to temporary paving for power construction and outdoor live-line operation.

Working Condition Selection Criteria

  1. Pedestrian passages, small electric vehicles, light forklifts: Standard HDPE road mats with thickness of 15–20 mm.
  2. Ordinary engineering vehicles, medium and small trucks, regular temporary construction roads: 25–30 mm thick anti-slip weather-resistant road mats.
  3. Heavy cranes, excavators, hundred-ton heavy-duty equipment, main roads with high-frequency traffic: 30–50 mm thick high-strength heavy-duty road mats.
  4. Open-air wild construction sites with long-term sun and rain exposure: Special UV weather-resistant modified road mats to prevent aging and damage.
  5. Oilfield, chemical and flammable & explosive construction sites: Special anti-static explosion-proof road mats to eliminate static hazards.

Core Mechanical Performance Parameters

  1. Tensile Strength: ≥25 MPa. The substrate has excellent toughness without fracture or cracking during vehicle rolling, bending and dragging transportation.
  2. Compressive Strength (10% strain): ≥30 MPa, strong structural compression stability. No indentation or permanent deformation under long-term rolling of engineering vehicles and heavy equipment.
  3. Charpy Notched Impact Strength: ≥60 kJ/m², superior impact resistance to withstand vehicle bump impact and heavy object collision, no brittle fracture or edge chipping at low temperature.
  4. Elongation at Break: ≥500%, ultra-high ductility, adapts to deformation of muddy and uneven ground, hard to break or damage for complex construction road conditions.
  5. Load-Bearing Performance: 20 mm thickness for small vehicles and pedestrian walkways; 25–30 mm thickness bears uniform load of 60–120 tons; 30–50 mm thickened version supports over 100-ton heavy engineering equipment, dynamic bearing capacity ≥200 tons/㎡, meeting heavy traffic demands of all construction sites.
