Two-Color UHMWPE Sheet Material Basic Parameters

Item Detailed Specifications
Standard Dimensions 1000×2000mm, 1220×2440mm, 1500×3000mm. Custom cutting for any length and width, plus special forming processes including irregular bending, drilling, countersinking and grooving are available.
Thickness Options 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm. The double-layer structure features uniform thickness ratio; customized differentiated structure with thin surface layer and thick bottom layer can be produced on demand.
Color Fully customizable
Dimensional Tolerance Length & width tolerance: ±2mm; thickness tolerance: ±1mm. Smooth plate surface free of bubbles, hollowing and delamination. The two layers show uniform color with clear boundaries without color mixing or bleeding defects.
Machining Characteristics Supports free cutting, hot melt splicing, bending and hole opening. It adopts the same installation methods as ordinary UHMWPE sheets, applicable to coal bunker lining plates, equipment guard plates, warning base plates, mechanical wear-resistant accessories and other processing needs.

Basic Material Parameters

  1. Substrate Molecular Weight: The whole substrate adopts virgin ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene raw material. The standard molecular weight is ≥3,000,000 g/mol; grades of 4,000,000–5,000,000 g/mol are optional for high-end working conditions. The double-layer structure shares identical base material with uniform and stable performance, free of mixed recycled impurities.
  2. Composite Structure: It adopts the integrated double-layer hot-press composite process. The upper and lower layers differ in color while featuring identical material and performance. No adhesive bonding eliminates delamination risks; the product is integrally molded in one press. Different from ordinary spray-coated or veneered two-color sheets, it resists color fading and peeling under friction.
  3. Material Density: Overall density ranges from 0.93 to 0.96 g/cm³, completely consistent with virgin solid-color UHMWPE sheets. It is lightweight yet high-strength, imposes no extra load on equipment and silos, and allows easy transportation and installation.
  4. Color Matching Specifications: Conventional classic collocations include black-green, black-white, blue-black and red-green; any two-color combinations can be customized. The surface layer is high-visibility warning color, and the base layer is basic wear-resistant color, combining protective function and visual identification.
  5. Modified Formula Categories: General wear-resistant two-color grade, UV-resistant weatherproof two-color grade, anti-static explosion-proof two-color grade, food-grade clean two-color grade. Suitable for industrial mining, outdoor exposure, food production, precision equipment and other application scenarios.

Physical Weather Resistance, Anti-Corrosion & Anti-Sticking Parameters

  1. Operating Temperature Range: -50℃ to +80℃. The performance of double-layer structure remains synchronously stable under high and low temperature environments; no embrittlement at low temperature, no softening at high temperature, and no interlayer debonding, discoloration or peeling.
  2. Water Absorption Rate: <0.01%, virtually non-absorbent. It will not swell, deform or delamination in humid coal slurry, seawater, acid and alkali aqueous environments, with excellent dimensional stability.
  3. Self-lubricating & Anti-sticking Performance: Coefficient of friction 0.07–0.15 with ultra-smooth surface. It avoids material adhesion and dust accumulation, effectively solving bin bridging, material sticking and blockage problems for smooth blanking without residue.
  4. Corrosion Resistance: Resistant to corrosion by acids, alkalis, salt spray, mine water, oil stains and chemical media. Rust-proof, mildew-proof and oxidation-proof. Both color layers of the double-sided sheet deliver equal anti-corrosion capacity without local discoloration caused by partial corrosion.
  5. Insulation Performance: Volume resistivity >10¹⁰ Ω·cm with outstanding insulation performance and no conductive hazards. Applicable to electrical protection and equipment insulating lining plates.
  6. Weather & Aging Resistance: UV-modified two-color sheets resist strong outdoor ultraviolet radiation. No color fading, chalking or delamination under long-term open-air exposure, with permanent color and undegraded protective performance.

Core Mechanical Performance Parameters

  1. Tensile Strength: ≥30 MPa. The double-layer composite structure eliminates interlayer peeling defects; no cracking, delamination or peeling occurs during cutting, bending, drilling and equipment vibration.
  2. Compressive Strength (at 10% strain): 35–55 MPa with excellent compression resistance. No indentation or permanent deformation under long-term material extrusion and static equipment pressure, with structural stability equivalent to virgin solid-color UHMWPE sheets.
  3. Charpy Notched Impact Strength: ≥120 kJ/m². It inherits the superior impact resistance of UHMWPE, free of brittle fracture and edge chipping at -50℃ low temperature, capable of resisting impact from large material falling and equipment collision.
  4. Elongation at Break: ≥150%. High toughness prevents brittle fracture; the composite layers are tightly bonded to adapt to slight site deformation and equipment vibration for stable structural safety.
  5. Abrasion Resistance: Mortar abrasion loss ≤0.02 g/1000 revolutions. Its wear resistance is 7–10 times that of carbon steel and over 6 times that of ordinary PE sheets. The two-color surface will not fade under friction, maintaining distinct color layers during long-term service.
  6. Interlayer Bonding Strength: Composite layers are free of delamination and hollowing. The two layers will not separate after repeated bending and rolling, with consistent overall structural strength, eliminating peeling failure risks common in ordinary two-color sheets.

Working Condition Selection Criteria

  1. Liner plates for coal bunkers and chutes in coal mines, coking plants and power plants: Select black-white / black-green two-color sheets with molecular weight of 3,000,000 g/mol and thickness of 15–25 mm. Wear-resistant and anti-sticking with visible wear indication for convenient daily inspection and maintenance.
  2. Wear-resistant guard plates, sliding blocks and limit backing plates for mechanical equipment: Adopt high-visibility blue-black two-color sheets with thickness of 10–20 mm, balancing wear protection and structural marking.
  3. Outdoor equipment protection, open-air enclosures and port lining plates: Choose special UV-resistant weatherproof two-color sheets, free of color fading and delamination under long-term sun and rain exposure.
  4. Inner lining for clean production lines of food and light industry: Select food-grade red-green / white-green two-color sheets, non-toxic, clean, anti-slip and anti-sticking with clear identification marks.
  5. High-precision, heavy-duty high-wear industrial mining conditions: Prioritize thickened two-color sheets with molecular weight above 4,000,000 g/mol for higher structural strength and longer wear service life.
